This masterpiece displays a chiaroscuro where the light is directed from the background of the painting towards the viewer, shining with maximum brilliance right at the head of Jesus, who carries the burial shrouds hanging, extends his hand and raises his gaze addressing the father. In the lower part, in shadow, three Roman soldiers sleeping on the ground.
